The Whosoever Tag

Hello my beautiful friends and readers! I came up with one more Christian tag (my answers will be at the end of this post if you are curious). This tag is for any follower of Jesus who wants to do it. If you love Jesus and are a “Whosoever”, you are tagged. All you have to do is answer the questions and share the link to at least one Christian blog post or blogger you love (you may share as many blog posts or bloggers as you like). I hope you enjoy this one!

The Whosoever Tag

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” ~ John 3:16

And when he had called the people unto him with his disciples also, he said unto them, Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. ~ Mark 8:34

Here are my answers:

  1. How old were you when you accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior?

Being a Preacher’s daughter, I don’t ever remember not being “saved”. I got saved all the time. I wish I had an amazing testimony from the first time I accepted Jesus into my heart. It took me 28 years before I had a story of redemption that would come close to what a lot of christians have.

2. How many times have you been baptized?

I’m not sure I ever have been officially baptized. I remember playing “Baptism” with my friends in a backyard pool. I remember going to the lake and watching my father baptize people, but I never remember him or any other adult baptizing me. When I brought it up to my mother, she told me that I had been baptized (at some point growing up). I have no memory or pictures of the event. This really concerns me and makes me sad. I wanted to get baptized at a church I was going to before the lockdown, but I didn’t get to do it in time. During the lockdown, I have thought a lot about getting baptized. I might go ahead and have a baptism at my house one Sunday. There are at least two of us who want to be baptized by a pastor, but until the social distancing thing is over, those plans will have to wait.

3. What Bible story or verse puzzles you?

“And said, Naked came I out of my motherโ€™s womb, and naked shall I return thither: the Lord gave, and the Lord hath taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord.” ~ Job 1:21

My father always said in church that Job was wrong. He said that God does not take away, Satan is the one who takes away. Why would Job say that if it wasn’t true? Does God really take away? I’m over 40 and this verse still puzzles me.

4. What is something you would like to know about Heaven?

What age everyone is there.

5. Who is the first person you knew on earth that you will look for or you hope will be waiting to greet you at the pearly gates?

My grandmother (my mom’s mother). I think out of everyone (other than my children) she loved me more than anyone, even my parents. She and I were very close when I was younger. I have been seeing her and talking with her more than usual in my dreams. I miss her so much. I never got the chance to tell her how much I loved her. I hope I get to see her again.

6. Why do you think the streets in Heaven are made of gold?

It must be the best metal there is and God only has the best. Other than that I have no idea. I do know that the two gold crowns I have on two of my back teeth are the best crowns I’ve ever had. They are close to 20 years old I think and it always seems that any one of my porcelain crowns needs to be replaced anywhere from 2 weeks to 10 years. Gold rocks!!!

7. What is the ONE burning question you can’t wait to ask Jesus?

Where my first baby is. I’ve heard conflicting theories on babies in Heaven. I hope the first one is correct and I have a child waiting for me.

8. Other than Jesus, what person from the Bible are you most interested to meet?

King David. I can totally relate to him. He was a man after God’s own heart and even he couldn’t resist sexual temptation.

9. What are 3 things you won’t miss about being a human and living on earth?

Physical pain

Bad weather

Having a broken heart

10. What is the best spiritual advice you have ever received?

The best spiritual advice I have ever received was from my step-grandfather’s sister. When I was 18 years old, she told me to “Keep loving Jesus.”. I will never forget what she said and I will never stop loving Jesus.
